Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, announced a NOK 500,000 fine against the municipality of Rælingen for violating the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The municipality unlawfully processed children's health information via the digital learning platform Showbie. The app did not undergo necessary risk assessments, privacy impact assessments and testing before it was used. (Original post is in Norwegian.)
