  • BBC News reports Northern Ireland's government will pay at least 100,000 GBP to 38 individuals whose personal information was leaked via distribution of a monthly digital newsletter in May 2020. The individuals were among 251 people who did not have their names redacted from the email chain.
  • Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in Chicago, Illinois, was hit with a data breach affecting 171,740 patients, Becker's Health IT reports. The breach occurred following a hack of a group email between 100 infectious disease physicians in the Chicagoland area.

    Surely, it comes as no surprise that hackers are beginning to target areas within the continental United States with less ingenious malware protection.
