The president of NorQuest College is reaching out to its staff to communicate about the massive breach the school suffered three years ago, CBC News reports. Jodi Abbott is assuring her staff NorQuest properly handled the aftermath of the breach, while downplaying the size and the severity of the attack. Abbott said the school could not disclose the breach due to legal concerns, but some advocates are not buying the rationale. "It just seems to me that because of the nature of the information that was on there, as soon as they found it, it would have been a best practice to at least let those individuals know so they could take steps to protect themselves," said Executive Director of the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre Linda McKay-Panos.
