The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology will host the Smart Grid Interoperability Framework and Cybersecurity Workshop Nov. 13–14. The workshop comes as NIST develops the fourth version of its Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards. Stakeholders will share their input to shape the agency’s characterizations of smart grid cybersecurity risks, gaps and solutions. The workshop will focus on the role of interoperability in grid modernization and cybersecurity risk profiles for smart grids and services, taking lessons from other industries and gathering novel communication methodologies.
