The National Institute for Standards and Technology has released a new draft of its Cybersecurity Framework for public comment. The batch of documents released Tuesday include the draft roadmap version 1.1, and draft version of the framework with and without markups. The newly released second draft "refines, clarifies, and enhances Version 1.0 issued in February 2014," and it "incorporates comments received on Version 1.1 Draft 1." The reason for the updates, NIST states, stems from frequently asked questions since the previous release, responses received from a Dec. 2015 request for information, and comments from a 2016 workshop. NIST will accept feedback and comments, which can be directed to email@example.com, through Jan. 19, 2018.
