The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology has published a draft report titled “Core Cybersecurity Feature Baseline for Securable IoT Devices: A Starting Point for IoT Device Manufacturers.” The document contains baseline cybersecurity features internet-of-things manufacturers can voluntary implement in the devices they produce. The draft builds upon NIST’s “Considerations for Managing Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity and Privacy Risks.” NIST announced it will accept public comments on the new publication until Sept. 30.
