NH Business Review reports the New Hampshire Legislature is evaluating a comprehensive privacy bill introduced by the state House of Representatives. In its current form, the legislation has provisions that compare to the California Consumer Privacy Act and others that go beyond it. A notable diversion from the CCPA is the bill's proposed private right of action for consumers. The proposal also allows the attorney general to hand down noncompliance penalties of $2,500-7,500 per violation.
