New Zealand's proposed Privacy Bill passed through the Committee of the whole House of Representatives. Following its movement through the House, the bill will now undergo its third reading. Should it go into law, the Privacy Bill will repeal and replace the Privacy Act 1993 "as recommended by the Law Commission's 2011 review of the act."
