Air New Zealand has experienced a data breach that affected approximately 112,000 Airpoints customers, Stuff reports. A phishing attack exposed information that potentially includes customers' names, emails and Airpoints numbers. Air New Zealand reported the incident to New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner of the breach 31 July, but customers were only informed 9 Aug. A spokeswoman for the airline apologized for the "inconvenience" the breach may cause but did not explain the details of how the attack occurred.
