Retrospect has announced an enhanced tool, Retrospect 15.1, designed to help firms comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation's “right to be forgotten” provision, MediaPost reports. The tool utilizes a rule-based filtering mechanism to remove specific data from backups, allowing firms to protect consumer data and delete information upon request. Retrospect 15.1 is available for free to Retrospect users and is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.
