John Henry Du Naga has been appointed the National Privacy Commission’s Privacy Commissioner for a three-year term, ABS-CBN News reports. Naga previously served as the NPC’s deputy commissioner and replaces Raymund Liboro whose term ended in March 2019. Liboro remained in the role until a replacement was found. Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Naga’s experience “will contribute to our goal of a competitive, knowledge-based and innovative nation where the flow of information remains free while upholding people’s right to privacy and data protection.”
