A U.S. district judge ruled a 2018 lawsuit filed by New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas against Twitter, Google and others over children’s privacy will move forward, The Associated Press reports. Balderas accused the companies of violating state and federal laws by collecting children’s information through mobile gaming apps without consent. Meanwhile, advocacy groups are urging the Federal Trade Commission to obtain more detailed information from media and technology companies about their collection of children’s data.
