New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas is appealing the dismissal of a lawsuit over Google’s educational applications, MediaPost reports. U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal dismissed the lawsuit that alleged Google Education violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act by monitoring children online. Freudenthal sided with Google in dismissing the suit, the company arguing it complies with Federal Trade Commission guidance. Balderas’ appeal will be heard in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
