The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed the workplace, forcing many employees to work from home and employers to ramp up employee health monitoring. With that in mind, the IAPP and EY launched a research initiative to gain more insight into the ways privacy and data protection practices have been affected. IAPP Senior Westin Research Fellow Müge Fazlioglu, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, led the initial phase of this project after surveying 933 privacy professionals, specifically to gain insight into how privacy programs handle remote work data security, employee health monitoring and government access.
