Under the California attorney general’s second set of modifications to the California Consumer Privacy Act, companies that violate the “do not track” feature would be fined when enforcement begins in July, AdAge reports. Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox have enabled the feature by default, while the digital advertising industry has historically found workarounds. MediaMath’s Senior VP for Policy and Advocacy Daniel Sepulveda said companies now have to “respect” do not track and “any workarounds are illegal.”
