  • According to Husch Blackwell's "Byte Back," the Nevada Legislature passed Senate Bill 260, which amends the state's legislation for opting out of data sales. If signed by the governor, the law would broaden the definition of "sale" and force companies to reassess if they fall under the amended law.
  • The Connecticut House of Representatives passed House Bill 5310, introducing amendments to the state's data breach notification law. Updates to the law include a reduced reporting window from 90 to 60 days and added categories of sensitive data. The Connecticut Senate has until June 9 to pass the legislation.
