Former U.S. Department of Justice Chief Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer Nancy Libin will be joining Davis Wright Tremaine as the new leader of the firm’s privacy and security team and co-chair of its Technology + Privacy & Security practice. Libin currently serves as the chair of Jenner & Block’s data privacy and cybersecurity practice. Before working at Jenner & Block, Libin also served as counsel to then-Sen. Joe Biden on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. According to a news release, "She will replace Davis Wright's current PrivSec chair, Christin McMeley [CIPP/US], who is joining longtime firm client Comcast in October.
