Six EU member states expressed their desire for the European Commission to “aim high” in an impending EU Cyber Defence Policy proposal, according to a “non-paper” obtained by Euractiv. The countries of Austria, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Romania and Spain offered recommendations in five policy areas for the proposal. The countries called for a “shared understanding” of what cyber defense looks like across the EU and not just limited to military communications networks.
