AdvisorHub reports Morgan Stanley is facing a class-action lawsuit from current and former customers stemming from a reported data breach at the start of July. The financial services company announced July 9 that decommissioned servers from closed data centers were not sufficiently scrubbed of clients' personal information, including Social Security numbers, bank account information and other personal details. The lawsuit claims Morgan Stanley's breach notification to customers and states' attorneys general was not done in a timely manner upon discovering the breach.
