Montenegro's data protection authority, Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka i slobodan pristup informacijama, announced it submitted an initiative to begin misdemeanor proceedings when public authorities do not respond to or ignore information requests. The announcement followed the AZLP's investigation of increased reports of public authorities' noncompliance with the Personal Data Protection Law by failing to respond to information requests, which included sending notices to authorities that went unanswered.
