Squire Patton Boggs has added Monika Kuschewsky, CIPP/E, as a partner to its Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Group and a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, the firm announced. Formerly of Covington & Burling, her most recent work involved advising clients "on compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and navigating the challenges of trans-Atlantic data transfers under the new EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and using the EU Standard Contractual Clauses," the report states. "As a recognized EU data protection expert, Monika will be instrumental in leading complex, multijurisdictional projects and addressing the compliance challenges faced by clients in a variety of data-rich industries," said Squire Patton Boggs' Ann LaFrance. "Monika will also work closely with our public policy team in Brussels on advocacy relating to GDPR implementation issues.”
