The Missouri Senate passed a bill to outlaw nonconsensual porn, The Kansas City Star reports. If passed by the House and signed by the governor, Missouri will become the 39th state to pass such legislation. Under the proposed legislation, threatening to disseminate or distribute a nonconsensual sexually explicit image would be a felony. The state’s invasion of privacy statute outlaws a person taking such an image without proper consent, but there is no law to specifically address the sharing of the image.
