Microsoft announced a no-password sign-on system for personal accounts in Outlook, OneDrive and Family Safety, The Washington Post reports. Password-free sign-on has been available for corporate accounts since March. With passwords being reused across websites and applications, it is easier for hackers to breach multiple accounts, the company added, there are 579 password attacks every second, or 18 billion a year. Fast Identity Online Alliance Executive Director Andrew Shikiar suggested password-free users enable two-factor authentication through Microsoft’s Authenticator app or Windows Hello.
