TechCrunch reports the European Data Protection Supervisor received a complaint from members of the European Parliament regarding alleged privacy issues with a COVID-19 test-booking website. The complaint claims the site deployed third-party trackers without users' consent, presented a confusing cookies banner and transferred data to the U.S. without legal basis. An EDPS spokesman confirmed the complaint, adding Parliament's data protection office reported "the litigious cookies were now disabled on the website and confirmed that no user data was sent to outside the European Union."
