CIO reports Australian-based group training company MEGT has been hit with a data breach that exposed 143,000 personal records of an unspecified number of apprentices. Passport scans, visa details, employment agreements and performance warnings were all compromised in an open Amazon Web Services S3 bucket. U.K. privacy advocate Gareth Llewellyn discovered the open database, which was set up by a third party.
