The FBI is investigating another potential ransomware attack, this time at MedStar Health in Maryland, Becker’s ASC Review reports. The organization’s email and e-health record programs have been down since the breach was detected Monday. The medical director for Maryland’s emergency medical services network, Richard Alcorta, said he "suspects ransomware.” If that’s true, it would be the biggest attack of its kind on a U.S. health care network, as the organization comprises 10 hospitals and 250 outpatient centers in Washington and Baltimore.
