Ahead of COVID-19 vaccination requirements going into effect in Boston and other Massachusetts’ cities, state officials launched the SMART Health Card application, reports WCVB Boston. The app is already in use in several states and allows residents to show digital proof of their vaccination status. Residents will be able to request their card, which comes with a scannable code with their COVID-19 vaccination information. Restaurants, venues or other businesses will be able to read the printed information and can download a free app to verify the customers’ status.
