Marriott has released a tool to help individuals discover whether they were victims of the hotel chain’s data breach, TechCrunch reports. The tool, which is hosted by OneTrust, also will determine whether a person’s passport numbers were stolen in the incident. Marriott has not announced how long it will take to answer each request. Meanwhile, a report from Risk Based Security found about 5 billion records were stolen around the world in 2018, down from 7.9 billion in 2017. ZDNet also reports on a hacker who has sold three databases that contained the data of millions of users.
