U.S. Sens. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., have introduced the Kids Internet Design and Safety Act, The Verge reports. The bill would limit video platforms from recommending certain videos to children under the age of 16. The KIDS Act also targets design features. It would ban platforms from the use of autoplay features and push alerts designed to incentivize young users to stay on a platform for an extended period of time.
