A couple of weeks back, we announced the IAPP's new EU Member State GDPR Derogation Implementation Tracker looking at specific provisions in the EU General Data Protection Regulation whereby member states are required to, or may, create rules specific to that country — commonly referred to as derogations — and offers information on how each member state has addressed them in national law. We told you we'd keep it growing as we gathered more information and new legislation got passed. Well, it has officially grown. The tracker now includes derogation treatments included in Malta's new data protection law and subsidiary legislation, and within the next week, expect to see information on Finland's law, as well.
