Major retailers including JC Penney, Gap, Nike and Walgreens are aligning themselves with the Retail Industry Leaders Association to try and protect the industry from hackers and other cybercriminals, Los Angeles Times reports. The companies and the trade group launched an intelligence-sharing center Wednesday, aiming to prevent future breaches like the one Target experienced late last year.
