Luxembourg's National Commission for Data Protection is tempering ideas of big EU General Data Protection Regulation fines from its office, Politico reports. "The aim is not to have big sanctions — the aim is to have a change in culture," Commissioner Marc Lemmer said about his office's approach. As far as progress toward finalizing active investigations, Lemmer said he could not comment "because that would be raising expectations." The CNPD previously indicated some decisions would come at the end of 2020, but those announcements still haven't occurred.
