Germany’s State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony issued a 900,000 euro fine to an unnamed bank for an alleged EU General Data Protection Regulation violation. The company allegedly analyzed data belonging to current and former customers without their consent. It also looked at digital usage behavior, number of mobile applications purchased and the total number of online bank transfers. The fine is not final.
