By now, privacy professionals are well versed in the details of the Court of the Justice of the European Union's "Schrems II" ruling. IAPP Senior Westin Research Fellow Müge Fazlioglu, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, looks at one of the central consequences of the ruling that is the rise in uncertainty around trans-Atlantic and international data transfers. "Untangling the implications of the court’s findings has proved significantly challenging for privacy observers, regulators and professionals alike," she writes.
