Lithuania’s data protection authority, the State Data Protection Inspectorate, fined the Vilnius City Municipality Administration 15,000 euros for EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. The DPA said the administration improperly processed the personal data of an adopted child’s parents, violating sections of Article 5. In processing data of one of the child’s biological parents, the SDPI said the administration “failed to implement appropriate organisational and technical measures … failing to ensure the principle of accuracy of processed personal data.”
