CTV News reports LifeLabs was hit by a data breach that may affect millions of Canadians. The computer systems affected by the incident contain the information of 15 million customers. The Offices of the Information Commissioner for British Columbia and Ontario have launched an investigation into the breach. The British Columbia office said in a statement names, addresses, emails, health care numbers and lab tests were among the data compromised. "The breach of sensitive personal health information can be devastating to those who are affected. Our independent offices are committed to thoroughly investigating this breach. We will publicly report our findings and recommendations once our work is complete," Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia Michael McEvoy said in a statement.
