The European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs issued an opinion on the Data Governance Act. MEP Sergey Lagodinsky acted as rapporteur for the opinion, which features areas where the DGA can be improved on, including "emphasizing the centrality" of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and ensuring "effective differentiation" between personal and nonpersonal data. The opinion also lists amendments for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy to consider.
