A delegation from the European Parliament's Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee will be visiting Washington, D.C., from July 17 to 21 to discuss several topics related to the protection of data privacy. The committee will be meeting with several U.S. agencies, including the Departments of Justice, State and Homeland Security, and the Federal Trade Commission. The LIBE Committee will speak with the agencies about the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement, digital privacy and electronic communications, and cybercrime. Among the members of the committee visiting the U.S. are Chair of LIBE Committee and Head of Delegation Claude Moraes and German Greens MEP Jan Philipp Albrecht.
