Infosecurity Magazine reports legal analysts are forecasting another delay to the U.K. Information Commissioner's Office's fines against British Airways and Marriott International for EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. Following a previous postponement of penalties against British Airways and Marriott to May 18 and June 1, respectively, Cordery Compliance believes the fines will now come down sometime in August or September. The firm said the ICO is likely to apply a "lenient approach" to the fines amid COVID-19 and that perceived clout behind the fines "may now be a let-down."
