Australian law firm Maurice Blackburn has cautioned Deloitte and 7-Eleven that it will file an injunction if the personal details of 100 exploited 7-Eleven workers are shared with the convenience store chain, The Sydney Morning Herald reports. The threat of legal action came after a panel managed by Deloitte and aimed at investigating reported “wage abuse” by 7-Eleven was dissolved. Workers are now concerned that the loss of the panel will make their personal information fair game to former employers at 7-Eleven, regardless of privacy promises from Deloitte. Some further expressed concern that gleaned information would allow their former employers to manipulate them to the point of deportation.
