Claiming the store’s facial recognition technology falsely implicated him in a series of thefts, a New York student has sued Apple for $1 billion after he was arrested and charged with theft, Bloomberg reports. The student, Ousmane Bah, said the warrant for his arrest included a photo that did not look like him. Bah believes his name was inaccurately linked to the thief’s face in the company’s system after he lost a non-photo learner's permit that could have been used as identification by the thief.
