ABC6 reports members of the Ohio House of Representatives introduced House Bill 376 to enact the Ohio Personal Privacy Act. Along with standard data subject rights and attorney general enforcement, HB 376 carries a threshold for businesses generating more than $25 million gross revenue in Ohio and provides a safe harbor to companies complying with the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology's Privacy Framework. State Rep. Rick Carfagna, R-Ohio, said passing the law would give Ohio "an opportunity to position itself as a technology leader on multiple fronts."
