The Labour Party is distancing itself from a data breach that exposed the personal information of 337,384 Maltese voters, the Times Malta reports. In a statement, the party said it has its own “internally controlled” system and that its use of data complied with EU General Data Protection Regulation rules. “The PL was always careful — even before data protection regulations came into force, as well as after — to act in line with the law,” the party said in a statement.
