The Hill reports the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation voted to advance the nomination of Lina Khan as Federal Trade Commissioner. Despite four down votes from Republicans, the bipartisan committee took a favorable position on Khan due in large to her prior work against Big Tech platforms, with Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., noting Khan is "focused on addressing one of the most pressing issues of the day."
