The New York Times announced that technology reporter Kashmir Hill is joining its staff on the business beat. "Kashmir has long captured the unexpected and sometimes ominous ways technology is changing our lives," The Times leadership said in its announcement. "She describes her beat as 'the looming tech dystopia and how we can try to avoid it.'" Hill, who also confirmed the move on Twitter, most recently worked at Gizmodo Media Group.
