European Union Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová described the “constructive and open discussion” she had with Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, Reuters reports. Jourová and Sandberg discussed the Cambridge Analytica revelations, while the justice commissioner said the EU will monitor Facebook’s implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Leaders from the European Parliament are calling for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to speak in front of four committees following his two-day stint on Capitol Hill, according to EURACTIV. The Wall Street Journal reports Facebook is not expecting a financial downturn following the revelations.
