Ahead of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s meeting with members of European Parliament, EU Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová commended the social media executive for testifying, EURACTIV reports. Jourová said it is necessary for Zuckerberg to explain what happened with Cambridge Analytica and offer assurances that a similar occurrence will not take place. “Because Europeans want to hear this. Europeans are more sensitive about their privacy than Americans,” Jourová said, who added she was surprised more Facebook users did not abandon the platform when the Cambridge Analytica revelations came to light. Meanwhile, Politico lists off some of the questions European Parliament should ask Zuckerberg ahead of his testimony.
