Speaking at a closed meeting, Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked warned against adopting a more European approach to privacy, adding that Israel should “go with these changes more cautiously,” The Marker reports. Shaked addressed the gap between her and the country’s Privacy Protection Authority on how they approach privacy protection and added, “There is no such thing as privacy on the internet.” Shaked said there needs to be a balance between passing strict regulation and protecting privacy.
