Bloomberg Law reports Irish Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon has indicated her office will explore enforcement action against big tech companies over children's privacy practices. Dixon said "there will absolutely have to be changes" to the way companies manage kids' data. The DPC will explore enforcement under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which protects children under 16 years old. The move to investigate comes days after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission settled with Google over children's privacy missteps.
