Ireland's Data Protection Commission announced plans for a range of children's privacy guidance in the coming months. While reflecting on Safer Internet Day, the DPC said its upcoming guidance would "explain basic principles of data protection" and "assist children in exercising their data protection rights." The regulator added the goal of the guidance is to empower children to "understand the risks, rules, safeguards and their rights in connection with their personal data" while noting such knowledge is "a crucial step in building a safer digital world."
